BPSA Retiree Group

Border Patrol Supervisors Association

The BPSA Retiree Group was created to keep retired Border Patrol Agents connected to the Border Patrol Supervisors Association, the law enforcement community, and the issues that continue to matter after retirement.

Membership in the BPSA Retiree Group is open to all retired Border Patrol Agents. You do not have to be a former BPSA member to join.

The Retiree Group gives retired agents a continued connection to BPSA, including communications, updates, invitations to select BPSA meetings or events, and access to retiree-related information and resources.

Membership also includes access to limited retired-member legal defense coverage through the PORAC Legal Defense Fund Retiree Coverage Plan, also known as Benefit Plan V. PORAC Plan V provides limited retiree legal defense coverage for certain qualifying incidents, including qualifying defensive firearm incidents and certain concealed-carry related criminal matters, subject to the PORAC LDF Plan Document.

This is not full active-duty BPSA legal coverage. It is limited retiree coverage through PORAC LDF Plan V and is included as part of BPSA Retiree Group membership.

Membership Cost

Membership in the BPSA Retiree Group is $20.00 per month.

This monthly membership includes:

  • BPSA Retiree Group membership
  • Continued connection with BPSA
  • BPSA communications and updates
  • Invitations to select BPSA meetings, gatherings, or events
  • Access to retiree-related information and resources
  • Limited retiree legal defense coverage through PORAC LDF Benefit Plan V

Retiree Legal Defense Coverage

Legal defense coverage is an important part of BPSA Retiree Group membership, but it is not the only purpose of the group.

The PORAC LDF retiree coverage included with membership is intended for qualifying retired law enforcement officers who want legal defense coverage available after retirement for certain qualifying incidents.

For more details about PORAC LDF Plan V, including eligibility, limitations, exclusions, and claim procedures, please review the Retiree Coverage Information PDF.
